Selleb Spotlight: Jill Demling, Legendary Casting Director
What moms are actually buying for their gen alpha daughters
For this weekend’s edition, we’re flipping the spotlight back on the spotlighter herself: Jill Demling, the founder of Creative Casting Agency. Jill’s career started with a Hollywood bang, working for the dynamic duo Bryan Lourd (CEO and co-chairman) and Kevin Huvane (Partner and Managing Director) at CAA — the famed agency that reps mega-stars so big, their last names just kinda vanish into the stratosphere — Meryl, Brad, Zendaya, Keanu, etc... But that was just her opening scene. She then strutted through Vogue’s hallowed halls for 20+ years, starting out as Anna Wintour’s (Prada-wearing ???) assistant and ascending to the Entertainment Director and Co-Director of the Condé Nast Talent Group. Yes, we’re talking ICON status.
But we are not here to discuss Jill’s “rise to the top” biopic blockbuster… at least not today bc she’s actually here to dish about the real star… HER DAUGHTER.
You’ve seen the TikToks, scrolled through the memes — Gen Alpha is in full-blown skincare mania. But Jill’s not here for hearsay; she’s spilling the real tea, the FULL BTS scoop (read: juice) on what she’s actually buying for her 9-year-old daughter Story (the name alone is destined for IMDB).
The products you’ll uncover in this post are very on-brand for the types of products we’ve been seeing Gen Alpha girlies go crazy over (our very own Gen Alpha cousins have approved this piece lol, confirming and attesting to the “holy grail”-ness of these products in their respective elementary and middle school beauty undergrounds). Anti-aging skincare products are de rigueur for the pre-teen set these days. Wtf.

Jill: I don't keep paper receipts but Sephora had all my in-store purchases recorded online. I love the la neige lip mask but it's too $$ so I sneak hers on the days she stays with her dad but have to make sure to put it back in the box exactly how she had it — yes she still keeps it in the box.
The amount in her "medicine cabinet" is easily worth 2k. Like I don't even buy this stuff for myself cuz it's expensive! I use elf or free products I have been sent or 15 year old nars blush and she uses tower 28!
Other products she actually bought…
