Top 100: Summer's Most Gatekept Items
What city girls around the world are actually buying for the summer
We’ve finally made it to the other side! The bright side. The post-MDW summer, officially licensed and live. You know what that means: Every fashion-adjacent newsletter, every FYP is calling its shot on what’s about to take tf off this summer. Magic 8 Balls are out in every hand. Lucky for you, our Selleb community already bought it, so all we had to do was follow the paper trail of receipts. The magic, as it turns out, hides in the cold, hard facts.
NOTE: If you are a company or investor (or just a methodical shopper!) interested in the deeper-dive, paid version of this report with more expanded (read: empirical) data, you can subscribe to our quarterly report, Selleb Suite, by replying to this email.
There’s a lot to sift through out there, but consider this our summer shortcut (Ctrl + Selleb) for all the brands and SKUs we are paying attention to this season: 100 of the most-receipted items the coolest girls in the world are spending on as summer cooks. You should keep reading if you…

Australian brands are having their American summer, right on schedule.
Receipt volume for Aussie labels trending strong vis à vis American ones. Outpacing by a healthy margin. Makes sense! The southern hemisphere’s season ends in March, which means their trend cycle runs roughly four to five months ahead of ours, so by the time it’s hot in New York, it’s already been worn to death in Sydney. Selleb is already stacking with Aussie SKUs, which means the adoption curve is exactly where you’d expect it to be. File this pattern for next year: what’s logging in Sydney in January is what logs everywhere else (esp NY/LA/LDN) in June. If that’s not a Magic 8 ball…
This season, the receipts track:
Deiji Studios (this dress for the LoveShackFancy grads)
With Jéan (this is finally back in stock, dress version of the viral top from last fall)
Aje (this tank)
Mode Mischief (note this set, so summer)
Other Normal is known for their 90s-style pants (esp capri) but don’t sleep on their tops, especially this one.
Blanca (this skirt, for that price? won’t be left for long…)
— all Australian, all appearing in NYC and London receipts simultaneously. Coincidence? We think not.
Istanbull market: Turkey is having a big breakout moment.
Nour Hammour continues to have the girls in a chokehold (literally) with funnel necks on the up and up, esp this leather bomber which has been EVERYWHERE. Despite its French provenance, it has a strong anchor in Turkish manufacturing (+ select Parisian workshops) #tea.
Marfa Istanbul to the moon. Recently having a spike, and their yellow lace items are doing the lord’s work but especially, especially this one. Damn.
This Siedres dress swooned and sold out (better luck next time…try looking secondhand).
American sweetheart bikini brands are keeping steady (Same Swim, Triangl, Frankies, et al.) but cropping up at a noteworthy pace?
Parisian label Gaudir Swim already sold out of most of its line; it’s no wonder, the butterfly motif alone can make its product fly off the shelves like nothing else...
Burberry x Hunza G collab. Need we say more?
Sun’s up, hair up. Even hairties are getting an updo.
Free People has been ripping in the novelty hair accessories arena.
This beautiful statement hair tie, even for the risk-averse.
None of these animals miss, lowkey…
Machete is another one to watch out for, especially this style. Bonus points for quality:price matching. Maybe dip your toes in the outlet section first?
On the topic of hair, this boar bristle brush is also worth considering (for perfecting a tight pony).
Say what you want about the aesthetics (don’t ask us) but racking up in every city are Alaïa wedge dupes! Talk about a heel turn. Selleb girls are going in for dupes.
Tony Bianco (also here). Sizes are selling out…
Mango sold out already.
Reformation may be your best bet.
Khaite also has an alternative (can we really call anything from Khaite a dupe lol).
Same with these Jude ~alternatives~.

Lace + sequin combo cropping up EVERYWHERE, in all shapes + sizes.
Hand Over boxer shorts had a moment in the limelight a few years ago, but their dresses are now having a season in the sun, especially this one.
Few left for this one from Costarellos. Breathtaking.
On the topic of lace, Fleur Du Mal Sport takes sexy activewear to a new level. These leggings if you wanna raise the bar(re). Already a fan fave.
On the topic of sequins, get the look for less ($32!) from an unlikely sleeper…50% off too.
