Lucy Gum: Disclaimer: We’re not sponsored by Lucy Gum. And we’re not here to promote nicotine products or encourage you to use them. BUT if quitting is your quest, Lucy Gum has worked for Claire. She fully quit vaping last year — shoutout to her ex for the rec. What she still loves about Lucy: It’s a great stimulant for staying focused during long work periods. 2mg does the trick but 1mg (1/2 a piece of gum) if you don’t want to go overboard. Fortela Straight Leg Jeans (on sale here and secondhand here): Milanese chic meets Japanese selvedge in Fortela’s straight leg jeans. Been a huge fan of this brand from afar for so long but prices kept us at bay! Well, we found these on eBay (rhyming unintended) for $60 and submitted a successful offer for $45. Fortela is known for this exact style — they run a bit loose, so consider sizing down if you like them more form-fitting. Chloe is rocking hers here with the Saks Potts belt that Claire gifted for her bday from Club Vintage (we love Club Vintage!).
SeoulCeuticals Day Glow Serum: This scratches our itch for an everyday vitamin C serum. Of course, the SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serum is hailed as the “holy grail” in the pantheon of vitamin C serums, but the steep price tag ($182!) and its infamous “hot dog water” scent (as dubbed by Reddit!) give us pause. Beauty is pain, but surely, it shouldn't assault our sense of smell too? We recommend this cheaper but highly effective brand instead.
Bath & Body Works Candles: Flickering fancy is Claire’s weakness. $6 for cocoa-roasted chestnuts? Her inner child was screaming. Right now, it’s BOGO (buy 1 get 1 free). Move over, Diptyque, there’s a new flame in town.
