What You Actually Bought
@mishegas (1/2 of Dewy Dudes) / Molekule Air Mini+ Purifier:
“Pictured here is me and my R2D2 lookin’ ass Molekule Mini+ Air Purifier. Mid podcast I muted my co-host, as he eloquently mused over his hopes and dreams, and decided it was time to finally bite the bullet. My new air purifier perfectly illustrates my areas of focus for 2025: air, water, and sleep. While we are all sauna’ing and cold plunging our anxiety away it’s easy to often lose sight of the literal basic necessities for life.”
@emilynorth () / Sandy Liang x Subu slippers (sold out, but we have these and are obsessed): “This winter I have been trying to prioritize just simply staying in my apartment. I sometimes get restless and feel like I need to be doing 3949392 at once so I am trying to force myself to enjoy my space and slow down, a way that I am doing that is by upgrading my sleepwear. I am a huge Sandy Liang fan and the second I saw her collab with Subu I knew I would be getting my red manicured clutches on them. I justified the purchase by saying that this would be an early Valentine’s Day present but realistically I will probably buy myself another treat… so stay tuned for that!”
@carolhan (founder of NETTE and Community Atelier) / Original Broc Shot: “Lately, I’ve been really into discovering new products focused around longevity and health. I started taking NAD supplements from Elysium and my new-new thing is Broc Shot. I first heard about it from Crown Affair founder, Dianna Cohen, and ordered it immediately. It’s basically a combination of broccoli seed powder and horseradish root powder that you take every morning and it’s supposed to give you more energy, better skin, reduce inflammation and bloating, improve bowel habits, and help with weight loss. Yes, please!”
@ginaesposito (founder of clothing brand Nu Swim, co-founder of Tangerine store) / Marzipan from Sicily: “I bought my girlfriend some marzipan in Sicily (we both love marzipan). Thought it was going to be cheaper from Italy, but turns out it's not. Although! The marzipan is more delicious than I've had in NYC. Less sweet. Marzipan is always a gorgeous gift, although not many people like it, so it's kind of a crap shoot.”
@sohnjohnsohn (mind behind Sohn) / Vintage Samurai Camera: “I've never owned a film camera before – only terrible early aughts digital cameras and disposables. I got back into using disposable cameras during lockdown in 2020, and for a moment, I liked the unreliable quality of the film. However, I recently started feeling like I should invest in something that was more considered and maybe better designed. I think I typed in "unique film camera" into an Etsy search and was immediately taken by the Kyocera Samurai. It looks like a camcorder but it's actually a half-frame camera, which means each exposure is half the size of a standard 35mm frame. I also simply liked the design of the camera – it's very square and solid. I ended up getting the Samurai Z2, which is slightly smaller and lighter than the original models. It's a fun camera to bring to dinner parties or weekend trips; I can take so many photos without worrying about running out of film. Also, Ryuichi Sakamoto, one of my style icons, starred in several of the Samurai advertisements – super chic! I've also included some photos of Ryuchi Sakamoto's ads for the Samurai camera for reference. Also, here's a YouTube link to one of his video advertisements - I'm obsessed with it!”
