What I Actually Bought #102
Posting paper receipts on the Selleb app, Zara Ibiza, and Capri's magical La Scuola delle Gambe cream
Hot off the press: You can now post paper receipts directly in-app! Many of you have already put this feature to the test in your travels last week. Crumpled French pharmacie haul receipts, hand-written vintage store slips, wine-stained café bills — they’re all fair game. How it works: 1) Take a photo of the receipt and our system will detect the individual items and details (like price, brand, etc). 2) Upload your own pics and hit post. So fun to follow friends and see their real-time travel diaries as they unfold! Our European city guides are in the works, but Selleb app users will always get the first peek of where we went…and what we actually bought 👀
Love that Apple has its own category for receipts too btw (for anyone who didn’t know about this nifty feature in the Photos app)…How much more Selleb-coded can you get?
And now our Wednesday feature: what WE actually bought, followed by what YOU actually bought.
What We Actually Bought
Born To Be Wine Ibiza: A €4.50 glass of Balearic wine simply cannot be beat. Crisp, fresh, delish. Good luck getting this price in New York or any other American city for that matter.
Zara (Ibiza) Sandals (here and here): Zara in the motherland hits different — the unique curations of stuff you wouldn’t see in the US, down to the self-checkout lanes (have yet to spot one in NYC — correct us if we’re wrong?). These shoes below were shockingly comfortable; they were battle-tested on cobblestone roads and hilly streets too. Also much cheaper in Spain!! Wish we had spent more time at the store…rolled in at 10pm (!) and would you believe it was still a zoo in there?? Zara here isn’t just a store. It’s a national sport. Very excited to whip these out again in New York.
Gimaguas Kite Shirt and Boxers: This brand is founded by sisters!! And since it’s based in Spain, we cashed in on some serious home court advantage pricing (+ sales), naturally ;)

Albatroz Paris Jewelry Haul — Locomotive Choker, Olympe Paradoxe Ring, Vapeur Earrings: One of our all-time favorite “stores” in Paris is our friend Marine’s *unofficial* Albatroz showroom aka a sun-drenched terasse where we sip, chat, and shop. This trip, we got access to her new collection pre-release ;) She has the most insane jewelry line hands down, bar none, and we’ve turned so many of our friends into ardent fans. Use code ‘SELLEBSIS’ for free shipping on orders over €150 <3. Suffice it to say, indecision is what everyone feels upon seeing the available options. You just want everything. Follow the founder of Albatroz on Selleb @marine.depaz for some chic Parisian inspo…Also, live footage of Claire trying on Albatroz pieces below:

Capri Palace Leg School Cream: One of the most iconic spas in the world. Can’t even put into words what this cream feels like…it’s essentially a cold minty oily gel that you lather on your legs to increase circulation. Feels kind of like tiger balm meets icy hot patch? The mint smell is so strong that you might start to tear up (yep, as if you were cutting an onion).
And now, your turn!
What You Actually Bought
Molly of @style.analytics (viral IG account, also behind on Substack) / Green Floral Scarf Maxi Dress (similar here and here): “I usually thrift in-person, so the last thing I bought was a dress for a wedding from Depop.”
@yuriakailich (interior designer, behind @item.enso) / Minjae Kim Fiberglass Table Lamp: “I recently brought home a table lamp by Minjae Kim—a friend, a peer, and someone whose work I deeply admire. After years of hopping from one rental to the next (classic New York rite of passage), I’ve slowly started to shift my compulsive scrolling from Depop and vintage sweaters to actual furniture—grown-up furniture. As an interior designer (and apparently now… artist? cue imposter syndrome), I’ve realized that investing in the objects around me is a kind of emotional anchoring. Maybe it’s turning “30” later this year, maybe it’s the hours I spend absorbed in showrooms, studios, and architectural marvels. Either way, putting energy into my own space has felt non-negotiable the past year. Joel and I forever tinker with little objects through Item: Enso and those have sprinkled through my apartment. Minjae’s lamp brought something into my bedroom I didn’t know I was missing—texture, weight, a quiet presence. I used to fear clutter, though I’ve hoarded my fair share over the years. Now I find comfort in the soft chaos of small things gathered over time—objects that hum with memory.”
@caterinaferrari_ (team @ceciliebahnsen) / Hender Scheme Leather Mules: “How nice is the feeling of buying something and cannot wait to wear it as soon as possible? Or maybe, that fear of wearing it and maybe ruining it, so keep it for very special occasions? Or even, which never happens to me, of feeling guilty and realizing that you shopped something just because? I’ve been traveling for work for a month around Asia, with Seoul and Tokyo being two of my top destinations for fashion. And could I come back home without any purchases? Absolutely not. Could I just buy few pieces and not over buy? Probably, but this is not the case. In all the shopping, I’m going home and cannot wait to wear a specific one. Dreaming already my outfits with it and most likely, big blisters on my feet.”
@teddywolff (co-founder of and @homeonwoodbine) / Bautista Organic Dates: “I was tipped off to these dates by my wife, Sarah, when she sent me a video of Superiority Burger receiving a shipment for a special date milkshake that they were putting on the menu. I think she wanted to go get the milkshake but I understood it differently and knew what I had to do. A few days later I “surprised” her with an 11lb sampler box (The Royal Treatment) from the very same farm in California. If they’re good enough for Brooks Headley, they are good enough for my family. Not only are the dates delicious but we’ve gotten an education about the range of flavors and textures dates can have when sourced well. Some are wet-packed and spreadable like jam with a molasses flavor. Some are drier, more nougat-like and nutty while being firm enough to cook into rice or stews and hold their shape. I worried initially about getting a large sampler because you often end up getting a large amount of things you don’t love. I love them all.”
@marlowetatiana (author of Happy Hour, behind the eponymous Substack ) / Universal Flowering Lilac No. 4: “Lilac No. 4 is a purchase I've made from initially having the scent from Universal Flowering's discovery set. It's my quintessential spring fragrance and wearing it just before it starts to warm up makes me feel optimistic about the approaching season.”
