What I Actually Bought #108
The Erewhon of NYC, Vogue editor's Vestiaire find, and viral Chanel moccasins
Our WIAB intros have taken on more shapes, forms, and styles than we can count (OG readers knowww), but 108 editions in, what do you know…yours truly have finally landed on a format that feels like a keeper. Not exactly a debut, more like a rebrand we’re willing to commit to…at least until further notice (gotta keep our ppl guessing haha). Think: A week in the life of the Selleb Sisters à la IG photo dump w/ captions denoting best hits, worst flops, tender sister moments, chaotic combos, and everything in between. We’ll keep it short xx
What We Actually Did

Row 1: Finally lost our Golden Diner pancake V. Ready for round 2 lol (Peep the Selleb tote!). Wear the rainbow (Chloé); taste the rainbow (Bagel Shop UES)
Row 2: Summer nights at the (Met) museum are slept on — live music, rooftop views, gallery crawl before your Uptown food crawl (or Bemelmans visit, stack live music on live music). Claire & Anna Delvey summer mode RabbitGate edition. Schmuck’s chocolate mousse + chips + Graza olive oil combo is not to be missed (oh and their Bread & Tomatoes drink, which is fineee but tbf it’s a bootleg version of Martiny’s Caprese and Clemente’s Tomatino…).
Row 3: Hers & hers Gatorade Zero. Gg. How else are you going to survive a walk from downtown to uptown (and back)? Tried Goodsugar, the Erewhon of NYC? Naur. Twas ok. TikTok Review below. We were in LA last week and ofc paid tribute to the real Erewhon (the keto blueberry muffins are a sleeper smash hit).

And now, let’s get to the main event: what some of the coolest people on the internet are actually buying…
What You Actually Bought
@stephaniebroek (Editor at Large VOGUE Netherlands, stylist) / Vintage D&G Zebra Top (similar here, here, and here): “I've been gravitating toward zebra print lately (I blame the Khaite Resort 2026 collection). While browsing Vestiaire Collective, I came across this vintage Dolce & Gabbana top. It's light and airy. Perfect for throwing over my bikini after a beach day.”

@there_y0u_are (commercial director, design consultant, behind Substack, apartment featured in AD) / Custom Wood Stamps: “I ordered a few custom stamps with my return address, logo, and wordmark on it. I'm having so much fun stamping shipments (that's why I bought them in the first place), but also stamping painter's tape that I'm sticking on my laptop, business cards, fridge magnets....Might be the start of a stamp collection.”

@brigitteshokouhi (vintage curator, behind )/ Vintage Pucci Clutch (similar here and here): “As a stylist and vintage seller/ collector, it’s obvious that this summer Pucci has definitely been on trend… I have a little bit of a different take on it. I love Pucci bags, last summer I discovered my first one on eBay and I’ve been hooked ever since. This Prince specifically has been something I’ve been dying for for myself, and I found it on Vestiare and had to snag it immediately. It’s definitely staying in my personal collection, because it’s just too good.”
@ecstasy_cookbook (cook, writer of To Entertain (out in 2026), behind ) / 12 Pack of San Pellegrino (your local grocery store or wholesale pricing here): "I don't drink anymore - not because of an interest in health (well, yes, that too) but because I drank too much. I replaced the habit with Diet Coke and AF beer but began to feel neurotic about this - was I drinking enough water? Was my soda crutch turning me from a sophisticate to a guzzler? In NYC last summer, while staying at a nice hotel in the awful, awful Hudson Yards development, I was met by a pathetic greeting platter of three pieces of fruit and a glass bottle of San Pel. I knew NYC was expensive, but that this was all the establishment could stretch to surprised me... But then, in the air conditioned room, looking onto the stinking sweating city, I found great comfort in the heft of the glass, the weight it leant to my sips, and the slightly salty water, with its inoffensive bubbles. Back home in London, no longer feeling holidayish, I began to resent paying almost £2 for a bottle of water (Americans will weep, for this is the cheapest they'll get it) and began to shop around. Occasionally supermarkets had specials, but they had limits on the amount of water you could order (twelve) so this was not sustainable. Through Googling, I found an office supply company sold boxes for not-much-at-all, which they'd deliver next day. £1 a bottle was a saving indeed, calming my protestant frugality, while still representing indulgence. So I ordered 120, and did so again, sooner than I should probably admit. The plastic bottles (which rarely cost much less, anyway) don't appeal to the hand when they are lifted, and a swig from the bottle is far superior to a sip from a glass."
@jamierosennyc (beauty consultant, behind ) / Chanel Scuba Moccasins (similar here and here): “I’m quite particular about shoes, particularly flats. I don’t love ballet slippers or loafers on me, and brogues never seem to go with what I wear. I favor mules, but sometimes you want something with more structure and style, and less heel exposure. The second I saw the Chanel scuba moccasins I knew. They remind me of men’s tux shoes, which I’ve contemplated buying but they rarely come in my size. The Chanel flats upgrade an outfit but they’re easy to wear. The shiny patent leather gives a new texture to any outfit, and even though they’re having a moment, I think there’s something timeless about them, too.”
