Welcome back to another edition of…what Gen Zers actually bought this week, feat. boots-on-the-ground reporting from the Selleb app.

We've collectively transformed into consumer detectives. Each purchase is now a multi-step investigation that would make FBI profilers look casual. Reddit threads are consulted. Spreadsheets are created. Group chats are activated like emergency response teams. Why the intel obsession? Because we want to nail it the first time. We want to minimize ordering pieces that look great in stock photos but turn out to be more like straightjackets (or burlap sacks) made of regret and poor sizing choices. Also, we love discovering new things, ideas, and hacks before they hit the mainstream. And ngl, the reviews and anecdotes behind the purchases also keep us chuckling…

This week, we’re talking best matchas, the most expensive “single-serve” yogurt known to mankind, nostalgia premiums, TikTok tax (again, sigh), and other culture/style-forward fashion items that are inspiring/surprising/all-of-the-above?

**IMPT REMINDER** The Selleb app is currently invite-only. Pls fill out this (super) quick form to apply to get on our app. New users have been getting on in batches every Friday.

Let us take you through some of the most interesting purchases we’ve observed this week, with accompanying anecdotes of why we think they’re worthy of your attention…

  1. One of our most design-minded users bought two copies of Neptune Magazine, founded by Daytona Williams (a Selleb!), feat. the one & only inimitable Julianne Moore, profiled by

    Christina Holevas
(also a Selleb!). Shameless reminder that the Selleb community rocks and you should join <3 <3 Have been meaning to take a gander at Neptune and this was our cosmic cue.

  1. Burgundy bags and accessories. We knew burgundy had a moment, but it seems that the flame is still burning strong.

Noteworthy choices this week:
